The Alvo Community Improvement Association was created to not only host events in our Village , but also to build relationships that rural Nebraskans pride themselves on. Our mission is to improve community sustainablility and engagement through better safety, education, and entertainment. As of this date, there has not been an appointment for the open position within the Village Board of Trustees. Some neighbors have reported that they were required to submit a letter of consideration which includes their qualifications, however, Village ordinance states ยง1-178 ELECTIONS; CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS. Any person seeking elected office in the Municipality shall be a registered voter prior to holding such office and in addition shall have reached the age of majority. (Ref. 32-4, 157 RS Neb.)

Bring the whole family down for a fun Halloween filled day at the Lofte! Trunk-or-Treat is like Trick-or-Treat except rather than going door-to-door, participants can decorate the trunks of their cars and hand out candy, goodies, prizes, and surprises - and maybe even a few tricks!
Want to Trick-or-Treat?
The entry fee is $5 per child, or $10 per family. While you're here you can also swing by our concession stand where we will be selling hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks. Take your snacks and relax in our theatre where we'll be showing Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons! And, while you trunk-or-treat, you can vote for who you thought had the most well decorated trunk! And make sure you come in costume - this is Trick-or-Treat after all!
Want to decorate your trunk?
Participants will be able to vote for who they thought had the best trunk and prizes will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! There is no entry fee for trunks, just decorate as best you can! Please pre-register your trunk by sending an email to

We'll be hosting a candy drive through Noises Off! Bring a bag of candy or Halloween themed goodies (non-consumable please) and drop it off at the box office before the show and you'll get a free popcorn!
