Hello, Alvo neighbors!
My oh my, have we been busy!
Last week saw our first public event in several years. The turn out was wonderful, everyone got full bellies, and the kids had an absolutely wonderful time with their friends and neighbors! It was such a success that the Alvo Community Improvement Association have another event planned out for everyone to look forward to. But first, a couple of quick updates to the site.
First, we have a tab created for the Alvo Community Involvement Association where you can find links to our free, all-inclussive groups, meeting dates and information, as well as future events which will also be added to the community calendar. All of that information can be found by clicking here.
The Board meeting video for September is in the process of getting uploaded and I will let everyone know when it's been added to the site and ready to go.
I have yet to get a response from our clerk regarding getting Agendas and Meeting Minutes available to access.
And finally, we have the Alvo Community Improvement Associations next event, our Chalk Art Event to celebrate the closing of summer. Chalk Art with awards, lemonade and watermelon feed for $2 with all proceeds going back to community events (and of course we will be accepting free-will donations), as well as the Eagle Fire and Rescue Department Fire Safety and Volunteer Fire and Rescue Sign Up. Main Street will be closed on Saturday, September 24th from E 1st St to E 2nd St from 12:00PM through 3:00PM. Come celebrate the ending of a long summer with your neighbors!
