“It’s just the beginning”
We’ve all heard it before, “Alvo Nebraska, where is that”? As the new “Voice of Alvo” I thought it only appropriate to introduce myself to those of you I have not had the pleasure to meet in person. My name is Cathina Reeves, I have lived in Alvo for over three years now with my three wonderful children and my fiancé. I am an Associate in Arts in Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration graduate specializing in Project Management. Currently, I am continuing my education further by switching paths from a Master of Business Administration to pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Environmental Engineer. Plants and gardening are one of my big passions, with no formal education or training in the field of horticulture I consider myself more of a “plant enthusiast”. Professionally, I am a Highway Designer for the Nebraska Department of Transportation and have been with the department for over seven years now. I take pride in my ability to handle the productive life my family and I live and look forward to adding editor to the list of many items that keep me happily busy. My objective is to make serval improvements to our community site, build camaraderie, connect all members of the community to one another, and operate on a foundation of truth. Being raised in a small town myself, Hershey/Sutherland NE, I understand the importance of honesty, transparency, communication, and community.
