Hoffman Photo Album
Donated by Patti Robertson
"Hi, I have a photo album that has been passed down to me that has photos of the Hoffman family and their farm. On the inside cover it says,"Maple Grove Farm W.G. Hoffman, Breeder of Progressive Poland China Hogs- Alvo, Nebraska. ... It doesn't name the people in them. It has newspaper-like sayings under the photos and a date of 1927.
... Someone might recognize the people or family might still be there. Some moved to California that I know of. I believe that W. G. is William George Hoffman. He is the son of Christian W. Hoffman and Anna Onken. Elmer Floyd Hoffman born 21 September 1910 in Alvo, Nebraska married my great grandmother, Augusta Wedman West. They are buried in Lower Lake Cemetery, Lower Lake, Lake County, California."
