Editor's Take XV

When the sun shines and it's not freezing, I don't feel the need to rant about anything, so this is the kinder, gentler Editor. However, wait 2 or 3 days and the weather will drive the kind and gentle away and the cynical editor will reappear.

Please, please do be careful on those icy, cold days (and nights) yet to come. Did you know the only months in Nebraska that have never had snow are July and August?

I've had some positive responses about the lending library - now the details need to be worked out: 1 - where?; 2 - who?; 3 - how?; 4 - why? The why I think is already identified - sharing with your neighbors is a good thing. Where is tougher - do we want a kiosk that gives access all the time or do we want an indoor location with a volunteer librarian? Do we have any rules as to the content, and if so, what are the rules and who decides? Do we want 24/7 access or scheduled hours?

Once again, if we do this, YOUR input is requested.
