Editor's Take XI

Thoughts at the end of 2013.

Hypocrisy is the behavior of people who do things that they tell other people not to do ; behavior that does not agree with what someone claims to believe or feel (Merriam - Webster on line dictionary) - and there sure is a lot of it out there these days. If Jesus were alive today, would he approve of the way we treat those unable to help themselves?

This letter to the editor expresses my thoughts better than I can.

Christian Values?

How about we try to be better people in 2014?

"Freedom isn't free. It shouldn't be a bragging point that 'Oh, I don't get involved in politics,' as if that makes someone cleaner. No, that makes you derelict of duty in a republic. Liars and panderers in government would have a much harder time of it if so many people didn't insist on their right to remain ignorant and blindly agreeable." - Bill Maher
