Memphis Review

Went to "Memphis the Musical" at the Lied Center Tuesday night - that's why the newsletter is being written at 0135 on Wednesday morning. We went without knowing anything about it other than it won a couple of Tony awards.

Folks - it is first class, original, funny, serious, has great sets, fantastic live musicians, great dancing, outstanding songs sung superlatively and a serious message. It is set in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950's and is about "race" music.

It has another performance tonight at 7:30 PM and there are still some tickets left. Worth every cent and worth missing supper.

Next stop is Lawrence, Kansas on the 14th and Manhattan, Kansas on the 15th.
