Last week to see "Nunsets Boulevard" at the Lofte Community Theatre
24th, 25th & 26th at 7:30 PM
27th at 2:00 PM
I can't sing or dance, so it's kind of presumptuous for me to review a musical production and be somewhat critical of the performance - but - I paid for the tickets. All the voices are good, a couple are outstanding. One or two microphone pickup glitches. Dancing is very good; and they can still sing while dancing (way beyond my capabilities). Live piano, keyboard and drum set - very good, but Kevin couldn't find a violin - so - if you have musical capability, keep an eye here and you can perform in front of people who appreciate your talent.
This is the sixth in a series of plays about the advenetures of the Little Sisters of Hoboken - in this one, they travel to Hollywood to appear in the Hollwood Bowl, which turns out to be the Hollywood Bowl-Arama and Cabaret Night Club.
Audience gets to participate in the production - the night we attended we discovered that Nebraskans are extremely reluctant to step forward in front of their family, friends and neighbors.
Overall, the night we were there, the production was very good.
