Editor's Take V

Humans are very strange - on the one hand car buffs brought their priceless restorations miles and miles to help out a Fire Department that will never, ever put out a fire for them. Thanks from the Alvo Fire Department to all of you.

On the other hand, many humans will abandon dogs because they are too big, too noisy, the wrong color or the food costs too much. The pack of Pits and mixed breeds that were here Saturday were way better behaved than most of the people who have attended our street dances.

Also, a pastor of a "Christian" church fired the Parkview Christian School superintendent for appearing in "The Producers", a satirical musical comedy that while it wasn't written for kids - was definitely funny. The superintendent has taught vocal music (he sang very well), theater (he acted outstandingly) and was superb in his role.

Don't want to get tooo political here - but I think that Parkview is neither Christian or a School.

Moment of silence at the Cass County Fair for Bob Hanes, Sr. who died in the line of duty for Weeping Water Rescue Squad - never forget.

Busy week - just like real life - good and not so good.
