It's getting a bit better overall.
If you look at the big picture - the entire state - the total area of not enough moisture decreased a small amount (1.66%). Severe drought stayed the same; abnormally dry areas increased 1.34%; but moderate drought area decreased by 0.29%. Cass County holding at normal, for the time being. I left last week's map for easy comparison. Click on either image for the home page of the UNL drought monitor. Nebraska is not alone. Let's think even more seriously about conserving water.
