This is a good news - bad news week again. Good news - abnormally dry areas decreased 4.1%. Bad news -  moderate drought areas of 4 southeastern counties (Richardson, Pawnee, Jefferson. Actually, the farmers trying to get the corn harvest finished are cussing the rainy stuff in this county.

November 18th, 1978 - Peoples Temple cult leader Jim Jones leads his followers to a mass murder-suicide in Jonestown, Guyana, hours after cult members killed Congressman Leo J. Ryan of California and others.
