alvo news, november 11th, 2015

Thank you, Gary Varvel for this great cartoon.

This is a good news - bad news week. Good news - abnormally dry areas decreased 2.9%. Bad news -  moderate drought areas of 4 southeastern counties (Richardson, Pawnee, Jefferson. Thayer) are increased by 0.6%.   Click HERE for the national NOAA Climate Prediction site and HERE for the Omaha site.

Just a point to ponder - although earth is a water planet, only 0.0078% of that water is available to sustain plant, animal and human life. For details, click HERE for the US Geological Survey Water School.
