OK - Last short newsletter due to the editor's frailties. One trip to the ER and two to the doctor (unplanned) on the day I usually write this. No ugly details, but it's really nice not to pee through a tube.
There are lots of events upcoming, so check them out. Spring and summer are and should be play times for young and old. We are very lucky in Alvo, we live within 50 miles of Nebraska's major attractions. Off the top of my head - Mahoney State Park, Platte River State Park, Louisville State Recreation Area, SAC Museum, Camp Creek Threshers, Henry Doorly Zoo, Lee Simmons Wildlife Safari, Round the Bend Steakhouse, The Lofte Community Theater and many local community events and festivals.
And right here in our town, the 125th anniversary celebration is coming up. The committee is looking for Miss Alvo candidates to be crowned at the celebration. Miss Alvo will represent Alvo at the Cass County Fair in August. Candidates must live in or near Alvo, be a graduating high school senior. For details, contact Pat Umland at 402-781-2096.
