NWS Omaha - The grassland fire danger index will be in the extreme category this afternoon. Extreme fire danger means that fires start quickly...spread furiously and burn intensely. All fires are potentially serious. All outdoor burning should be avoided in areas with extreme fire danger.
Counties: Butler, Cass, Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Otoe, Saline, Saunders, Seward
Red Flag Warning from 02:00 PM until 08:00 PM today, May 7th.
NWS Omaha - Dangerous fire weather conditions developing this afternoon - humidity dropping below 20%; south winds 20-30 mph and warm temperatures contribute to extreme fire behavior.
