Starting with last week's newsletter, we will have a new feature - "Letters to the Editor". The reason that's good news is that rather than emails correcting my spelling and grammar and, to be truthful, thanks for publishing news about Alvo (and other places) someone has decided to contribute publicly. Thanks, Mr. Howard. Here's the deal: any letter for or against any issue will be published with some cautions. I WILL NOT publish your profane, bigoted, racist or downright nasty rants. And, since I am the Editor, I will correct spelling and grammar. After I have verified you are who you claim to be, the letter will be published. Please include a phone number and address so I can do this. Your name will be published unless you request anonymity. I have just been informed that publishing letters supporting candidates for political office would imply supporting candidates - so no letters for or against political candidates will be published - sorry.
Hey - I got a non-political newsletter asking you all to support a good cause (this one will keep me out of trouble with the managing editor).
Thank you, Sierra!
It must be spring - stuff is happening all around us! Check out the upcoming events below. Monday was 70 in the morning and 29 at night, so don't throw the flannel jammies in the mothballs just yet.
"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." - John Kenneth Galbraith
