The good news is that, starting on December 21st at 11:11 PM, the days start getting longer. As a non-winter person, I always keep track of the winter solstice. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the sun will rise at 7:47 AM and set at 5:01 PM which will give us 9 hours and 14 minutes of daylight.
“A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.” –Steve Martin
Today (December 4th) the sun rises at 07:34 AM and sets at 4:57 PM, giving us 9 hours and 23 minutes of daylight if there aren't any clouds.
As we get closer to the 25th I hope the local churches fill me in on their Christmas events - Hint, Hint.
If you know about school programs, let me know, please.
Stay warm, y'all.
