Hot, hot, hot!
August in Nebraska 2013. Heat, no rain (so far), school buses on the highways, streets and roads. This weekend starts high school and college football games. Changes - Husker volleyball in a new location with almost twice as many seats - maybe we won't have to wait for someone to leave or die to get season tickets. New skybox and seats in East Stadium - highest seats in Lincoln. Pinnacle Arena opening - Wow! All of a sudden there will be performers in the Capital City that have never heard of Nebraska - let alone actually stopped here in this flyover state.
Not much happening in our town - however there is opportunity for development on the north block of Main Street. In case you haven't noticed - no old rickety fire barn; underground tanks gone; only one house left in the 200 block. Zoned for business - how about talking up the chance to develop some commercial activity?
The best part is no real excitement - no explosions, fires, gas leaks or disturbances - so far.
"By polluting clear water with slime, you will never find good drinking water." - Aeschylus - Born in Greece in 525 BC - died in Italy in 456 BC.
