Tired of old tires?

17tire1

It’s not too late to take your used tires to the Cass County Scrap Tire Recycling Collection. I was out there this afternoon and they still have space for your old tires.

Open: Aug. 2 & 3 from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Cass County Roads Dept., 7600 Hwy 50 (located south of Hwy. 1 behind the water tower). First come, first served until they reach 150 tons of waste tires. No limits on # or type of tires; must have a 20 license plate. NO rims or tubes; no retailers. - Linda Behrns,  Keep Cass County Beautiful

Only 10 counties have normal soil moisture levels. 38 counties in the northeast, north central, south central and southwest are now experiencing moderate drought conditions and 45 are abnormally dry (that's not an improvement since the reduction in abnormally dry is caused by the 10 more counties that are now have moderate drought conditions). Click on the Great American Desert that early pioneers thought existed here. Only 18 states have normal moisture conditions. Click on the image to see how Nebraska compares to other states.
