Santa Claus flight tracker 2016 - click on the NORAD logo for the Santa Tracker site to see where Santa delivered gifts world wide with music feed from the USAF Academy Band, Royal Canadian Navy Band, US Coast Guard Band US Merchant Marine Academy Band and the NORAD Commanders, apps for your Android or iPhone, games, and a whole bunch of other stuff. The site is aimed at kiddos, but I know more than one legal adult that will likely browse, especially the adults should take a look at Operation Goodwill in Santa's Library.
A bit of personal history - as a single Intercept Director & Weapons Director at McChord AFB (25th Air Division) from 1971-1974 I would cover Christmas Eve shifts for married buddies so they could be with wives and kids, my team kept track of Santa's flight from the North Pole. We didn't have the internet then, so telephone interviews and if they got clearance, local TV anchors would be allowed in operations to report on Santa's progress. NORAD has tracked Santa since 1955. Click HERE to read how it all got started.
Great giving spirit from Round the Bend Steakhouse and their customers!! - over 35 veteran and military families braved Nebraska winter weather to receive the gifts brought by RTB customers for the first Sgt. Kringle's Kids program sponsored by theMarine Corps League, Marine Corps League Auxiliary and Round The Bend Steakhouse. Mahalo Nui Loa to TJ and Tifini - no lumps of coal in your stockings this year!!!
Here's a link for veterans who want to get an advanced degree, but don't think they can jump through the bureaucratic hoops or can't take the time to attend on campus - it's called GoGrad and it supports not-for-profit colleges and universites. I can't vouch for this organization, so use it at your own risk.
